Yamaganda (Yama gandam) is another inauspicious daytime eighth. The mapping by weekday differs from Rahu kalam. Saturday and Thursday, for example, do not share the same Yamaganda slot.
Use it as a “do not start” bar if your family observes it, especially for travel and new contracts. For a paper that has already started, Yamaganda does not change the hall clock.
Apna Panchang prints Yamaganda from sunrise and sunset for the selected city. Switch city when the exam centre is not your hometown.
If Rahu, Gulika, and Yamaganda all look frightening, remember they are sequential parts of the same day — one of them is always somewhere. Pick a GOOD choghadiya that misses Rahu first; that is the practical stack for exam morning.
