What we collect
Apna Panchang (https://apnapanchang.in) publishes a daily panchang. There is no user account. City and language are stored in first-party cookies (apna-city, apna-lang) so the header remembers your choice. Birth details you type into kundli forms are sent to our server to compute a chart or PDF; they are not mixed into the public panchang listing.
Hosting logs may include IP address, user-agent, and request path for operations and abuse prevention, not to build an advertising profile on our side.
Google AdSense and cookies
Google AdSense may serve ads on guide and festival article pages once a publisher account is approved and ads.txt lists our pub- id. AdSense may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads, limit fraud, and — if you consent — personalise ads. See Google’s policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
We do not place AdSense on the homepage or on programmatic city×date panchang pages. We do not place it on kundli generate, matching, results, or PDF delivery. Typical density is one unit per editorial page, below the article — not a stack above the fold.
GDPR and the EU User Consent Policy
For visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, personalized ads are off by default. AdSense is asked for non-personalized ads (NPA) until you accept personalized ads in the banner. You may keep non-personalized ads. The choice is stored in the apna-ad-consent cookie.
This lightweight banner is meant to meet Google’s EU User Consent Policy for this site. It is not legal advice. EEA residents may also contact their supervisory authority about data-protection rights.
Analytics
If NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID is set, Google Analytics 4 may record page views (IP anonymization on). For EEA visitors, ad storage stays denied until you accept personalized ads.
Your choices
Clearing site cookies removes city, language, and ad-consent preferences. Email hello@apnapanchang.in to ask about deletion or correction of data we hold. We will try to respond to legitimate requests.
