Jaipur Panchang, 15 August 2026

This year's note

Hariyali Teej falls on Shravan Shukla Tritiya, when the monsoon has turned the Aravallis green. Women fast, swing on decorated jhoolas, and sing Teej geet. Across North India the day is a saubhagya vrat; in Rajasthan the Jaipur court procession — palanquin of Teej Mata through Tripolia — is the mela people plan travel around.

In 2026 Hariyali Teej is 15 August. We tag it pan-India because the vrat is kept from Rajasthan to Bihar, and we scope the city to Jaipur so you can open the procession day's panchang. Hartalika Teej in Bhadrapada is a later, quieter fast and is listed separately when you need that date.

The household rite is mehendi, green bangles, and a story of Parvati's tapasya, often before dawn. The public rite is the palanquin hour — leave home in a Shubh or Labh watch if you can, and do not start the old-city walk inside Rahu kalam. Carry water; nirjala is a choice, not a panchang command.

Use Jaipur panchang for 15 August to place the fast, the palanquin hour, and rahu kalam before you step into the old city crowds. If you keep Teej in Kota or Bikaner, switch city: the palanquin clock is Jaipur-only.
