This year's note
Marwar Festival is Jodhpur's autumn folk gathering, timed with Sharad Purnima (25 October 2026). Stages at Mehrangarh, Umaid Bhawan lawns, and the old city host Maand singing, Ghoomar, Kalbeliya, and poets of the Marwar dialect. The two-day programme usually covers 24–25 October.
Unlike a pan-India tithi such as Diwali, this is a Marwar identity festival: turban colours, horse processions, and songs that name the Luni and the Thar. Families from Pali, Barmer, and Nagaur treat it as a homecoming weekend.
Open Jodhpur's panchang for 25 October — Sharad Purnima night is also a traditional moonlit fast and kheer offering — so folk-show hours and rahu kalam are in one place.
